AI Pore Analysis — See Where Pores Are Visible

Enlarged pores are one of the most common visible appearance signals. LooksMax Scan maps pore density across forehead, nose and cheeks using multi-scale blob detection so you can see what is actually visible — not what a filter hides.

What gets measured

How the AI measures pores

The pore detector runs Laplacian of Gaussian blob detection at multiple scales. Each candidate is filtered by size and contrast so it must look like an actual pore opening, not random skin texture.

Candidates are masked against the MediaPipe-derived face zone polygon so eyebrows, beard, lips and the background never contaminate the score.

The result is per-zone pore density plus a fused face-level score, with a heatmap that shows you exactly which areas drive the number.

FAQ

Can pores actually be shrunk?

Pore size is largely genetic. What changes is visibility — sebum, dead skin and inflammation make them look larger. Reducing those is the realistic goal.

Why is my nose always the highest score?

Sebaceous gland density is highest on the nose for almost everyone. A higher nose score is normal — track relative change against your own baseline.

How often should I rescan?

Every 4–8 weeks if you are testing a new routine. Use the same lighting and angle for the cleanest comparison.
