Free Face Symmetry Test From a Selfie

Run the symmetry scan right on this page — free, no email. It places 478 facial landmarks, mirrors them across your facial midline and returns a symmetry score, the region with the largest left/right difference and your eye-line tilt in degrees. It measures photo geometry, not attractiveness: head pose and lens distortion shift the numbers, so treat any single photo as an estimate.

What gets measured

How the symmetry check works

A face landmarker places 478 reference points on your photo. The scan estimates your facial midline, mirrors each point across it and measures how far the mirrored point lands from its real counterpart on the other side.

Regions are scored separately — eyes, brows, nose, mouth and outline — so one raised brow does not read as a globally asymmetric face. The headline score is a weighted blend of the regions.

Perfect symmetry does not exist and is not the goal: nearly every face measures a few percent off, and research does not support a simple symmetry-equals-beauty rule. The result describes geometry in ONE photo — head turn, a tilted camera and uneven lighting all move the numbers.

FAQ

Is the symmetry score a beauty score?

No. It is a geometric measurement of one photo: how closely landmark positions on the left half mirror the right half. Research does not support reading attractiveness off a symmetry number, and the tool deliberately never rates looks.

Why does my score change between photos?

Because the photo changes, not your face. Head turn, camera tilt, focal length and uneven lighting all move the measured landmark positions. For comparable numbers, shoot straight-on, at eye level, in even light — the scan also flags poses it considers unreliable.

Everyone has some asymmetry, right?

Yes. Nearly every face measures a few percent off perfect mirror symmetry, and visible asymmetry is normal. Scores in the very balanced range are common, and a lower score in one photo is usually pose, not anatomy.

What does the complete report add?

The free tool measures symmetry only. The complete report runs all nine modules — the five skin signals plus symmetry, facial proportions, hairline and skin age — ranks what would actually change your appearance most, and builds a personalized AM/PM plan around it.

Symmetry is one signal out of nine. The complete report runs every module — skin, symmetry, facial proportions, hairline, skin age — and turns them into one prioritized plan. One payment, no subscription.
